Our popular skills hub programme at Papamoa FC continues this year. The programme is designed around football-based games focusing on the development of specific football skills required to control, pass, shoot and travel with the ball as well as working in 1v1 situations. This is all achieved through engaging, fun sessions delivered by coaches under the guidance of our Coaching Team.

We are part of the FC Tauranga Moana (FCTM) player pathway. You don't need to be a Papamoa FC member to access these programmes.
The Papamoa Skills Hub is based at Papamoa FC's home ground at Gordon Spratt Reserve.
These programmes are intended to be an extension to players team trainings during the Winter Season and in the off season a chance to continue developing skills.
Papamoa FC players who are in the skills hub (8-13 years) program will have the opportunity to be grouped together in the Waibop Saturdays teams.
Players involved in skills hub program will be eligible for selection for FCTM at the Christchurch International Cup. Further details to follow.

Skills Hub - 4:30pm - 5:30pm
As per last season, there is an opportunity for players participating in Skills Hub from term 2 onwards to be teamed together in the Winter Season teams.
FCTM x Christchurch Invitational Tournament & McCartney Tournament
New for this year, players participating in Skills Hubs are eligible for selection in FCTM teams heading to Christchurch for their Tournament. This will be for players in 9th and 10th grade.
As Papamoa FC is part of the FCTM framweork we have opportunities for players to represent FC Tauranga Moana at 2 key tournaments.
One being the Christchurch Internationcal Cup and one being the Mccartney Tournament in Taupo.
The tournements are user pays.
Costs vary and are estimated and are noted on the google form attached below, if interested please complete the form below.

About the tournament
The Christchurch International Cup (CIC) is one of New Zealand’s leading junior and Youth football tournaments, bringing together top local and travelling teams for a high-quality, professionally delivered football experience. The tournament continues to grow each year, creating a fantastic environment for player development, club connection, and international exposure.
McCartney Established in 2004, the McCartney Invitational Tournament is one of the largest Junior Football tournament in Australasia, organised and run by a select few from Taupo AFC. Held in October each year it attracts over 120 junior teams from all over New Zealand and Australia.
